Woody & Ace

Woody and Ace are Equicizers and joined Mounted Eagles in Feb 2016. We were able to purchase them thru a generous grant from the Gessner-Johnson Foundation.
Ace, the Bay, is named in honor of our beloved Ace who served in the program for 9 years and left us for those greener pastures in the sky in April 2015. The new Ace sports a sweet little “heart” on his forehead to honor the huge heart that Ace had for the program participants. He will forever remain in our hearts as well.
Woody, the Buckskin, was named by the program participants at the annual Awards Banquet. Woody was a very popular name suggestion and won by a landslide. He will be a real asset to the program too!
Woody and Ace will be the main modality of services for those individuals who join our program who cannot for some reason interact with the real horses. They will also be intertwined into the lesson plans of all other riders so they can learn more in a different setting.  The use of the Equicizers will help our participants enhance their balance, gain muscle strength, work on hand coordination and many other actions they might find difficult to achieve.
